Produced from carob pods that have been dried and milled, providing a sweet flavour. It is commonly used as an alternative to chocolate.  Contains 49% less energy than sugar (61kJ per 7g carob powder vs 119kJ per 7g sugar). Carob is free of gluten, caffeine and other stimulants and low in salt and fat. It is rich in fibre.

Serving and Usage suggestions

Use as a sweetener and flavouring in cereals, porridge, hot drinks and smoothies or use in cooking or baking.

Ingredients: Organic carob pods.
