It may be used as a heart stimulant. May be of benefit in the treatment of urinary and bladder infections. May alleviate period pains as well. Can be useful as a mild diuretic. Has been recommended for passive hemorrhage, diarrhea as well as dysentery.

External: Also used to stop bleeding of wounds and for bruises. May also be used for varicose veins and nose bleeds. May be useful for rheumatic joints.
